AFN Korea has now opened its eyes and ears and has noticed TV in Korea sucks. They now have a survey on there website where you can choose what you want too see and hear. Don’t know anyone that actually listens to the radio but maybe there is a reason for that. Now you can speak your voice.

American Forces Network Korea is conducting the survey now through May 15. The 56-question survey is on the Internet at afnkorea.net and takes 10-15 minutes to complete.

Anyone in South Korea under the status of forces agreement — servicemembers, civilian workers, contractors and their families — can participate. Each person must log in to AFN to answer the questions, and each person may complete the survey one time.

Went to the Cherry Blossom Festival in Yeouido today. It was more than I thought it would be. Had a bunch of kids flying kites and snack bars all over the place. I think I walked forever though so I am tried as hell. Took enough pictures to create another gallery. But I have picture from the Area 51 things from the other day I have to post still as well. I need some free time to do some updating here.

I created some new topics in the forum last night which no one even looked at. I don’t think most of those that come here even know they exist. I need to figure out someway where people few the forum and not just the blog. The forum is more for those that visit here and not so much for me but I seem to be the only that uses the forums. Anyway scroll all the way to the bottom to see the forums. The last two I posted are basically jokes.

We seem to be hosting personal ads here now. I didn’t know we started that, but someone left a comment on a picture in the gallery about one of my friends with her Yahoo ID for him to contact her. I thought this was kinda cute but hell go for it Chuk. (View the comments directly underneath the blogs).

I will update and post pics later…, too busy and tired to do it now. Someday I will be all updated with nothing to do.

My girlfriend is really big on Sci-Fi and is always telling me I should try to access military secrets and find the truth behind Area 51 and roswell. For the most part I know she is kidding but she likes to tease me about being military. Her favorite show is X-Files and if I say anything bad about Mulder I get the shit kicked out of me by her.

Well, I have found her the report the government has released to the public to show what really happened at roswell and tried to convince her it came from the Army. The report states that what happened in Roswell happened in the 1950’s and claims to it did not come about until the late 1970’s after an author published a book using this cover up of a weather balloon to make his story more believable. The document I got off the internet from the Air Force’s web site. It was a .mil address so I am sure it really came from the government. She read a little of it then yelled at me for trying to “protect my government”. (I am American she is Korean).

Proof that everything is on the internet I found a way to view satellite pictures of Area 51. I found this out by reading another blog and he seemed to make everything long winded and I could easily tell he had no life. But he gave directions on how to do it. He said it was a mistake but I can easily tell you its not. Some areas you can view things up closer than other things. The white house has it so you can only view the shape of the white house for security measures. See the White House here. To view Area 51 go to http://maps.google.com/ and search on Rachel Nevada. Once there move to the left and start looking at strange things that don’t look natural. Click here for an easy way to locate Area 51. Rachel is on the right and can’t really see anything there…, on the left you see green circles and dried up lakes (the wierd white things).

I will post pics of what I see in the forum then edit this blog to post that link here later.

Other wierd things I found close to Area 51:
A bullseye triangle thing

One of the top 10 spammers in the world was sentenced to 9 years in jail this week. The sentence has been postponed because they are trying to make an appeal with this law only being two weeks old. Though he is currently being held on a $1 million bond. All I have to say is…, “Its about fucking time”!!!

A jury had recommended the nine-year prison term after convicting Jeremy Jaynes of pumping out at least 10 million e-mails a day with the help of 16 high-speed lines, the kind of internet capacity a 1,000-employee company would need.

I have heard about them laying off 1,000 workers (There are only 12,000) from the US posts in Korea for several weeks now. I have been advised there will be protests which will lock us down on post. I can understand why they are upset, I wouldn’t want to loose my job either. Gen. LaPorte awarded one person in yongsan recently for working for USFK for 50 years. He started working for the US when he was 17. The Korean war has only been over for 52 years, you can read more about that at the “Stars and Stripes“.

Now they are threatening to strike, and not just the little shoppette and PX workers. The Firemen, the health workers, everyone. Which could mean a lot of extra work for all of us. Things like cutting grass, painting, and KP will be done by soldiers. Making my life hell and everyone else here. We work enough doing stupid bullshit that is supposedly “Only in Korea, cause we never do this in the states”.

But the union also is making preparations to strike if U.S. Forces Korea’s proposal to lay off 1,000 Korean workers cannot be avoided, said Kang In-shik, the union’s president. The union also may try to persuade its emergency services workers — such as those in health care or firefighting, normally excluded from strikes — to join the picket line.

“Certain types of occupations such as fire service, communication, hospital, electricity, water supply are not permitted to strike,” Kang said through a translator on Wednesday. “But in case we have no choice but to resort to a tough and drastic measure, we are (considering a) full-scale strike regardless of any conditions. Because this is a life-or- death matter to us.”

From the sounds of it though this isn’t an easy task for them to do this either, they have to get everyone in the union to agree on it, then they have to get permission from the Korean Government. The main reason for all of this though is the Korean government is giving us $60 Million less than what they gave us last year.

The tensions have come as the United States and South Korea are trying to agree on how much that nation should pay toward the $1.2 billion cost of maintaining USFK. Last year, South Korea paid about $621 million. This year, it has proposed cutting that amount by $60 million

Fuck the government do what the people want…, the US and Koreans…, Send the US troops back to the US.

South Korea has been cracking down on human trafficing for a while now. They have no moved to included online porn as well.

Since January, the main prosecutor’s office in Seoul has issued arrest warrants for about 100 people charged with spreading obscene material under South Korea’s telecommunications law, a crime carrying penalties of up to a year in jail or a nearly $10,000 fine.

Korea has an active sex trade - both online and off. According to the Korean Institute of Criminology, the amount spent on prostitution alone amounted to $23.6 billion in 2002, the last year for which figures were available.

The 2nd Infantry Division Museum has created a display to honor a soldier who donated his desert camouflage uniform to its collection before being killed in action in Iraq in March.

Sgt. 1st Class Donald Eacho, 38, and three other soldiers from 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, died after a bomb detonated amid their patrol in Ramadi, where they served with 2nd ID’s 2nd Brigade Combat Team (Strike Force).

Before Strike Force deployed to Iraq in August, Eacho donated one of his DCUs to the museum, which was creating a display to commemorate the deployment, a museum official said.

I didn’t even know this when I went and saw the display yesterday. This soldier was killed less than a month ago, and the museum has put on display a new section of Iraq to the collection of wars it has been in. This display is one of many the museum has. I have no visited the museum since 2ID has deployed to Iraq

I have added some downloads to the downloads section. Only those registered will be able to even see them. I added an all-in-one codec pack which I love. It has everything I have ever needed in it, and has never given me any problems. Form-Flow, which if you don’t know what it is you don’t need it. My collection of over 4,000 maps for Duke Nukem (The largest on the internet, and no where else), and a game I use to play all the time that is very rare called uplink.

Uplink is a hacking simulation game, where you are a hacker and hack banks, companies and other hackers. While at the same time you earn money and upgrade your gateway. Its a very kewl game espically if you like things like that.
