The new upcoming version of windows has long been talked about being based on the whole .NET framework. I have heard this from numerous sources. Now they are saying that it is not going to be based on .NET but will be programmed in C#. This is good news for some. “A big benefit of the new plan is that developers don’t have to move to .Net if they want to use new Longhorn features.” I know I would prefer that they don’t use .NET at all. I would like to be able to run my old DOS programs again without an emulator but something’s are getting to be too old to be backwards compatible. .Net will change things up again and I am not ready for that.
