I have found a new addiction lately. World of Warcraft. This game is a MMORPG (Mass Multi Online Role Playing Game). Every character in the game is some other player somewhere else in the world sitting behind a computer. It seems that everyone has been playing this game for a while and I am just a late bloomer so I probably don’t need to go into details about the game. But this is responsible for me taking so long to bring my website back online and is also the reason why I have so few posts in my blog now.

I have one friend that started his own guild on the game and has asked me to do the website for the guild. Easy enough…, RazorNylon.com/WOW is where that is located. But go there and you can see another site just like this one and see what servers we are on and the names we use on there if you want to join our guild. I don’t plan on stopping the website to play the game, I have had a website since 1997 and depending on my intrests at the time depends on what the page is about. So don’t worry about this page going anywhere, maybe a little more neglected but that would be the most.

Anyway, if you haven’t tried the game you should. Its a community of its own and is fun at the same time. Currently I am Shadia on the Frostmane server a Night Elf Druid. Oh yeah, if anyone knows of a PC barn around here that has WOW that can connect to this server let me know. Would be nice to get some friends and have us all go there and play in the same room without having to haul computers somewhere.

Unless your extremelly ignorant or are just now able to get away from Buffalo Bill after several years in a hole, you have heard of the game “World of Warcraft” at some point in time. I am a computer geek (or like to think so), and I hear about it all the time. Today I thought I would try and play it for the first time. A friend loaned me his copy and gave me a guest pass so I installed it.

The game is 4 CD’s long…, not a problem, I have installed games that size before….,

This is taking reasonably longer than the other games I remember…,

Ok, good, installed and created my account, woohoo…,

Log in, agree to license, agree to license, Update? OK, 200meg shouldn’t be too bad, 20 minutes to download…,

30 minutes and installing update now…,

2 hours later…, still installing…,

OK, ready again…, Log in, agree to license, agree to license again, Another UPDATE?!?!

4 meg update, I guess thats ok…, just the new stuff that came out since the last update.

Downloaded and installed second update…,

Log in again, agree to license, agree to license a second time…,

We have WORLD OF WARCRAFT!!!! WOOHOO!!!!

Get ready to pick server, just United States cause its the only box…, at least they asked I could be somewhere else…, Select Normal, and hit choose server…,

A window that looks like servers could be listed in there pops up…, but is empty…, maybe I have to wait? I’m hungry anyway I’ll make some dinner…,

Dinner’s done, almost forgot about computer…, hmm…, window is still empty.., no servers. A little update box on the left, it says that all servers are down from 3am PST for about 8 hours…, PST? thats 16 hours.., its almost 8pm here now.., minus 16 hours is 4am. OH! Well, 8 hours from 3am (PST) is 11am (PST) which would be 3am (KST), so I can play world of warcraft at 3am my time…, AWSOME!!!!! This game is the shit! I can see why people spend $44.95 for the CD’s and then $14.95 a month to play this game.

I exit W.O.W. and a web page pops up with this little arrows for each server telling me they are down. How cute!
This sucks!
