I am stuck on gate guard and it has to be the worse detail there is. 4 hours on 8 hours off, pulling guard twice a day…, when do I sleep? Anyway here is a video me and Joel made in the field…, (yes, we got pretty bored). I will blog more later on it, its getting too late to blog now.

How to make an MRE Bomb

I finally transfered my site over to a new host. I have been working on it for the past week which I haven’t want to make any posts or upload any files due to that. This is the third time I have transfered my site in the past year although this time I got to keep my databases intact so I didn’t have to create the entire site over from scratch. Now, I just have to catch up on some of my blogs and pics that need posting. This last field problem was a little more crazy than most…, but it was also the last for a lot of people that were out there. Enough said about that here, thats for another post…,

I thought I had lots of space, but now I prooved myself wrong. I am only allotted 3gigs and have used 4. With the provider I used though I can’t upgrade so I am forced to change providers. I found one that has everything I need plus a little more for an extra $2 a month. It also has an extra 9 gigs compared to my 3 right now. 12 gigs of space plus unlimited pointers and all the little addons I need for the scripts here to work. Only problem I have…, is I have too download all 4 gigs from the old server and reupload all 4 gigs. While I can’t upload and post things while I am doing this I can however just post and have the files or pictures somewhere else. Feel free to post still, thats a different file I have to download and is seperate from the ones I am downloading now…, just no pictures for a little bit or if I did its using flickr.

last night was the last night out here… and things got a little hectic. played dodgeball with chemlights, rolled tires down the hill with chemlights taped to them, tied my section sergeant to his cot, got some fresh air, tipped a porta potty over with someone in it, cooked bugs on the pot belly stove, and just caused trouble left and right.

i was a little slow with the camera and also didnt know that the porta potty was going to tip over so this was the best pic i got. gordy was origanlly in it but ran out once he dicovered what we were doing and joel tried to hold him in but managed to be the one in there when it tipped over. we leave today so now lots of extra shit to get rid of in the field. basicly more mischief fun to be had.

we just had 3 blackhawks hover our site for some unknown reason. it was kewl watching them though. they almost acted as if they were playing hide and seek with each other. everyone got some good pictures though. some were taken so close that you can read the names on the bird.

one of the downsides to going to the field is all the bugs. not sure when but apparently i got bitten by something… everyone else is saying it looks like a spider bite. the redness has gone down but the swelling hasnt and now its gotten soar and hard. not sure when or how it happened but i noticed it the day we came to the field. that was 3 days ago now. being dirty probably dont help but not really any choice being in the field.

tomorrow i am going to have it checked out. hopefuly its nothing major.

someone tried to get the jump on doing MRE bombs. obviosly they need the class. its easy to tell that they didnt use enough water from the looks of the contents of the bottle. there is a lot of magnizium still in the bottle. probably enough to add more water and still use it.

dont know who wrote this but they aint having any fun here.i am guessing its one of the mechanics seeing they were working all day yesterday into the night while we were off fucking around and practing for the bald tire bowling olympics. maybe for the next event we should include them. now we are trying to come up with something new which isnt easy cause the best ideas come naturally. and now we are trying too hard.

we do have plans to teach the new katusa how to make an MRE bomb on thursday. have to wait and save some heaters to be able to make a good amount of them for training purposes. if anyone has any ideas what they would like to see us do email me at adium@hotmail.com with RazorNylon in the subject so my spam filter lets it through. hotmail sucks but i can check it on my phone in the field.

no snow or ice to try fuel can sledding yet. maybe in a couple months… need ideas for something new.
