Talked to my father earlier and he said that my uncle is home from the hospital, however he is still somewhat paralized on his right side. This is preventing him from working or doing much of anything. Apparently he can’t even use a computer mouse so he just gets to sit at home all day. He is living with his parents so they are able to take care of him and assist them with that he needs. Haven’t heard as much e-mail chatter as I thought I would get about this, kinda why I called. I guess everyone is still shocked but doesn’t want to talk about it. Anyway it sounds as if he is doing well and will recover well.

Fundies - Underwear for Two

Two person underwear is one of the truly great gag gifts and is likely the only one that the bachelorette will try to use. Get Fundies for your bachelorette party, and make a game out of it. Pair people up and see who can get them on first without using their hands. Make sure you and your party guests have had a few drinks first.

You can actually buy these for like $10. At least it advertises that you may need to be drinking first to use them.

One-Eyed Cat Had Medical Condition - Yahoo! News

AP regional photo editor Tom Stathis said he took extensive steps to confirm the one-eyed cat was not a hoax. Stathis had Allen ship him the memory card that was in her camera. On the card were a number of pictures %u2014 including holiday snapshots, and four pictures of a one-eyed kitten. The kitten pictures showed the animal from different perspectives.

Fabricating those images in sequence and in the camera’s original picture format, from the varying perspectives, would have been virtually impossible, Stathis said.

Meanwhile, Cy the one-eyed cat may be dead, but it has not left the building.

Allen said she’s keeping the cat’s corpse in her freezer for now, in case scientists would like it for research.

This is wierd but thought I would link to it.

Stayed out too late last night. Went over to Stanley and caught the Drowning Pool and Tantric concert. Got there way too early was only 2 other people waiting to go in when I got there. But they had beer and Jell-o shots so I was able to start buzzing before the band even started playing. By the nights end I was drunk as hell…, didn’t get to sleep until 3am, now I feel like shit, lazy with a headache. Been at the computer all day maybe later I can pull myself away, but nothing else to really do with this field problem. Definatly going to bed early to get over this hangover.

It seems like everytime I turn around now there is some family member that is having some kind of health issues. The good side is in the long run everything usually turns out ok. Last night at about midnight I got a phone call from my step-mom which was an instant give away that something is wrong cause she doesn’t call me. I had a quick re-cap about my father incident last may and and actually had a sigh of relief once I found out my father is ok. Not a great big sigh however, apparently one of my uncle’s had a stroke. He lost all feeling in his right side and as of last night his speach was slurred and they were talking about surgery to stop some internal bleeding.

Now, we know that a vein burst in his head which is still classified as a stroke. They are not going to do any surgery but the doctors don’t want to say that they aren’t going to do one later down the road. His speach is back to normal, and he is gaining some of the feeling back in his arm (I think). My details are a little lacking, being this far away makes that easy. But bottom line is he should be ok. They are going to release him in a couple days with some medication but everything from what I hear is good. The bad thing is he has a son in AIT right now studying to be a medic and he has two weeks left until he graduates. They don’t want him to know cause they want him to finish. I guess I can understand all of that. If he is going to be fine. I would probably be pissed not knowing, but wouldn’t come home if he is going to be ok. I don’t know the difference between me and him I guess. I will post more and I learn more.

Back in the field. At least we are on post and get to sleep in our own beds and everything. Maybe I can then work on my page some. I found out that if someone is searching for a picture in the gallery they can’t click on it unless it has been given a name.., and I have to name them manually. 6,500 pictures that I have to go and rename…, fun shit. At least I got the morning shift for the field and have the rest of the day off after.

Was planning on making it too dongdaemun last night but the wife told her mother and she tagged along with us. And because she came we went to Chunggye-chun and some other places around there cause she hadn’t seen and her only time with running the bakery to do anything like this is late at night. But it was still ok, got to spend some time with the in-laws and they are taking a liking to me better than I could hope, don’t mind them myself either. Which in both is off to a good start. Will at least make it easier to take thier daughter away this coming december and go back to the states.

Hopefully tonight I can visit Dongdaemun to see what is so special even though the in-laws says its not. I want the pictures so I can post them here along with knowing for myself as well. Only got a year left…, need to finish seeing Korea.

Now I am trying to get this website back together, upgrading it fucked some things up but found a couple replacement modules that might make it more effiecent or at least I hope so.

Finally watched War of the Worlds. Downloaded it like 5 times before finally renting it. Everytime I rented it the download was something else or was corrupt. One time it was in spanish, or at least I think it was spanish. I thought it was a pretty good movie except the ending. My wife made me tell her what the ending was cause she said it flopped in Korea so had no intention in watching it.

If you don’t want me to ruin the movie for you stop reading…, otherwise click more.

I had a rather quiet new years eve this year. It was kinda a given cause the wife is pregnant. I didn’t want to take her out and go down to Jong-no like we normally do. Just trying to get through the crowd is torture enough, I can’t imagine what the baby would think being squished in a crowd like that. I went to the shoppette rather late and bought some champagne which from the looks of the shoppette I should of done that a couple days ago. I was hoping to get a bottle of balletore (*spelling) cause for one its like $5 a bottle and two cause its a safe bottle of champagne that everyone likes. They were all sold out so I bought a bottle of Korbel, which I have never had before and cost twice as much as the Balletore (*spelling again). But still $10 for a bottle isn’t too bad when the liquor I normally drink (when I do drink) is about $15 a bottle (Captian Morgan Spiced Rum). I also saw a bottle of what looked like carbonated juice which I thought would be good seeing she can’t drink. The stuff was on clearence I think from the year before, but it was $1.50 so I didn’t see much harm come in buying one of them.

After midnight I opened the $1.50 bottle and thought it was rather strange that it had a cork in it seeing most carbonated juice’s I have had in the past have pop tops or some plastic kind of cork. This had a regular cork. One I poped the cork I got a nice whif of its contents…, It wasn’t juice! It was regular champagne. I gave my wife like two sips worth which I have heard one glass is ok while your pregnant, I didn’t even give her half of that. But it also meant that I have a whole bottle of champagne and its just the two of us and she can’t drink. So I got drunk off of a bottle of $1.50 champagne. It wasn’t that bad though, the bottle looks kinda gay and christmasy but above all it was alright.

Now after a quiet night with just the two of us we decided that tonight we will go down to Dongdaemun to go shopping at midnight. Now that I live off post its a lot easier for us to do that without having to worry about curfew or getting a hotel. Haven’t had a curfew since I was 16 now I join the army at 24 and I have a curfew again. Then again I have been in Korea almost 3 years compared to everyone else only being here a year, plus me being married to a Korean makes it a little easier for me to understand everything here.

Anyway, I am working on my site for now, I have a lot of pictures to upload to my site and my photogallery is giving me issues. I think I am going to look at getting a new modules to do this but not sure with the other ones they have out there. I am also now completely transfered over to site5.com for my hosting which jumps my 3gig of space up to 11gig and I am planning on taking full use of that space. I upgraded my site too and not sure if I like the new version. I think I am going to have to update a lot of modules which the problems with my current image gallery cause be the results of the upgrade. I tried upgrading my blog yesterday and then spent the rest of the night restoring it back to its old self…, I will be caught up in everything I want to do someday. Now I have less than a year left in the Army and want to take as many pictures as I can, so its off to do that.
