Just put the sticker on my car today to get onto post and some dumb old bitch hits me. Whats even worse is the damn MP’s claim its my fault. Here’s what happened. Fort Campbell is the largest PX in the world, and for some reason they think they need to have the largest parking lot too. I come in the back end of the parking lot, where no one in the world would imagine parking cause its so far from the PX. I am driving across empty parking spaces, like everyone else, and at the middle of the parking lot there is a road. I start to cross this road and some lady comes flying through a stop sign and hits me. I saw her coming and stopped the car watched her for a full 3 seconds, ducked and BOOM! I was three feet across the white line, but because it was evident that I was crossing them, which is illegal, this act immediately makes me quilty.

I left skid marks on the ground 4 feet long from being pushed sideways, not from stopping, from her hitting me. They had traffic come out and he said she had to be doing at least 35, but he would have to run a friction test to be sure. Last I checked the fastest speed on post was 35, and that wasn’t in the parking lot. Plus she went through a 4 way stop 20 feet before she got to my car. Nope, fucking white line, my fault.

I swear some days I have no luck, whats worse is I got off for lunch early and was going to eat. I had 15 minutes to buy food, a whole new set of PT’s cause I didn’t have time to go home and get them, and get back to the company to get taped for WLC. Which they never did cause they knew I was underweight if anything. What a fucking day.

My wife has a habit of nagging me to the point where I virtually go insane. The nice thing now is that I can just get in the car and cool down before I start visualizing my hands around her neck. This weekend was the first time I have had the luxury of doing such that. After about 30 minutes or so of driving around I found myself completely lost in an area I have never been before. I was getting more and more lost the harder I tried to find a way back the way I came. I decided that turning around and just re-tracing my steps would be the best way. I pulled into a driveway and went to back out when I unknowingly backed over a picket next to the mailbox where a newspaper mailbox used to be. I pulled back up to figure out what the noise was, and noticed the picket laying nearly horizontal to the ground and a nice big scratch on my car.

I looked around and couldn’t see anyone there walked over to the picket to see if I could move it, which I was able to make it look like new effortlessly, got in my car and drove off. I don’t think I was the least bit upset about my car during the whole incident, I was too embarrassed to worry.

Now the disappointment and frustration from placing scratches on the near perfect body of my car is starting to set in. I have told myself that I will replace the bumper later with larger, lower ones to give it a more racing appearance, but considering the miles that are on the car I highly doubt it. The car I am really wanting now is the Mitsubishi Evolution IX.
