You know its time to move when the police know you by name. Not because your a trouble maker or you have neighbors that call them for every little thing…, but because there is a group of 14-15 year old kids that walk around vandalizing cars.

I had the neighbor lady knock on my door tonight and ask I walked out I see a cop car across the street. Seeing it was the same lady that visited me the last time the police were here I knew what had happened. I instantly thought it was my car again and went to check it out and she started to tell me that it was only the guy across from me and another down the street. This time it was spray paint. The couple across the street have a white mustang, and they sprayed two long black stripes down the side of the car. I probably lucked out cause my car is black.

The cop that showed up was the exact same cop that I called to my house less than a week ago. He seemed rather annoyed but not as much as the owner of the car. Luckily he noticed it soon enough, cause he was able to wash off most of the paint. The thing that gets me is this all happened around 9pm. It was barely getting dark, and these kids are walking around painting cars.

When I was a kid I never walked around and spray painted anyones car, not enough imagination. But when I did go around and do stuff that I might get in trouble for I didn’t do it on a busy street when it was still early in the evening. I am an old country boy, from a small town with one stop light. Everyone in my high school lived on a farm, was working on a farm, or had worked at some point in their life on a farm. So maybe I just can’t relate to these kids, but where is the fun in painting lines on a car? The only adrenalin rush is from getting caught, which at that age you can just about get away with murder, so there is no real danger in getting caught.

I guess I should be relieved that it wasn’t my car. But I have moved the paintball gun to a new location by the front door. I should probably look into getting some pepper spray too. If any kid touches my car I will become homicidal, until I find them. Its my first brand new car, drove it off the lot with 40 miles on it. I want it to stay looking new.

I have realized that everything around here involving my web sites goes to hell when I buy a Harry Potter book. Two years ago RazorNylon was shut down cause the PX made an error and put the book on the shelf too early, and I bought it. After realizing that I bought it nearly three weeks early I took pictures of it to brag and posted it on my blog. Didn’t know at the time but the back cover was unreleased and I was guilty of “copyright infringement”. I think they were pissed that I bought the book before the release date. Even though their lawyers said I bought it “illegally”, I legally used my credit card in the PX to buy it. Just didn’t know until someone with a badge showed up at work asking for it back, that it was un-released.

So I am pointing my finger at Harry Potter. Dumb as it may seem, it appears to work out that way. I buy a book, my website gets shut down…, do you see the logic?

LOL, it just humors me lately every time I see the book I remember them shutting down RazorNylon two years ago. If your not up to speed on the entire story read these two blog entries from 2005.

The time is coming where I am going to become a civilian again and I have been forced into looking into my future after the Army. My wife has also been doing the same. Actually she has been having a little more luck than I have. She has been offered a manager/partner position at one of her mother’s bakeries making around $75,000 a year. Which I think is great, except for one fact.

IT’S IN KOREA!!!!!!!!

I just spent the last three and a half years of my life there, now I am going back? I had a job last time I was there too. Now what am I going to do? Play Mr. Mom?

I have been offered a job that I will able to do online so if I take it I will be able to make some money and keep myself from going insane. Also because I won’t be in the Army this time I will have a lot more privileges that I didn’t have before. I won’t have a curfew, I will be allowed to drive, I will be able to go wherever I want without having to check if its off limits first, and I won’t have a dress code for civilian clothes.

So with that said maybe it won’t be too bad. But it will only be for a couple years or at least until my daughter is old enough to go to school. Due to the extreme prejudice among bi-racial children she will go to school in the states. Bottom line…, this is not something I am looking forward too…., being a stay at home dad in a foreign country.
