During our two weeks of looking for an apartment my father enlightened me on a special the the ski resort 5 minutes from his house (Greek Peak). They are trying to get new skiers to learn how to ski. For only $20 you can get a lift ticket for the day, rentals, and lessons. All of that for only $20! Normally, the lift ticket is $56, rentals are $30, and lessons start at $26.
(If you are in the area and interested in this deal go to P&C, Dick’s, or McDonald’s and ask for a coupon for “Mountains of Fun”)
There is a catch though. It’s only good for three visits. The first visit you are limited to Chair 3. Which only allows you to use the beginner slope, or “Bunny slope”. There is a small pollux with four rails and two jumps that I managed to hobble over too with the snowboard. Two of the rails are metal and two are made with wood. The wood rails aren’t really rails but the are a good starting point, and I was easily able to master them by the end of the first day.
