I read from Slashdot, who read it from Cinematical, who read it from Moviehole.net, who read it from Cinescape, who happens to have someone who caught George Lucas on his honeymoon in Hawaii and asked about more Star Wars after Episode III. From the first source I heard it from; there are already plans for another Star Wars movie. Not Episode III, but a prequel to episode I “The Phantom Menace”. From the horses mouth however, George Lucas tells some guy at a bar who asks “will Star Wars ever end?” Lucas responds “Star Wars will never end. My involvement may, but the story will go on…” Then said: “(Lucas) said no question about it, prior to PHANTOM MENACE. He said, that if he did ever do another storyline…. that he would do when the Jedi regained control of the universe from the Dark Lords (there were many of them) 800 years before PHANTOM MENACE. And a young Jedi named Yoda was instrumental in the effort.”
That sounds to me like he hadn’t even started, but may have given it some thought. But being over 60 (Interview was sometime in 2004) he probably won’t have a part in it. Which anyone can tell you there are a bunch of freaks out there that live and breathe Star Wars. Just look at this guy.
